What You'll Need For The Apprenticeship:

I want you to begin cultivating relationships with sacred tools that will become extensions of your energy and healing practice. What matters most is intention, and listening to what calls you.

Some of the tools listed below have been used for generations for a reason. If you feel called to invest in traditional items, that calling is valid and sacred… and often part of the initiation itself.

  • You’ll need a cloth—approximately 24" square (a little rectangular is okay)—to wrap and hold your Mesa stones.

This cloth is more than a holder. In Andean tradition, each Mestana is woven with sacred symbolism, color, and meaning. It’s not mass-produced—these are often made over weeks or months and carry the energetic transmission of the weaver’s lineage. Traditional Mestanas are powerful allies.

If you’re called to invest in one, trust that call. If not, start with something meaningful: I used my mother’s scarf for years before finding a Q’ero-made Mestana that I now cherish.

Whatever you choose, your cloth should have some weight and thickness—it needs to safely carry stones and hold energy.

    Links for inspiration (purchase optional):

  • You'll only need 3 stones to start.
Over time, you’ll build your Mesa as we move through the four directions. Each stone holds a story—a healing, a prayer, a reclaiming.

    • Stones should fit comfortably in your palm (a few slightly larger are okay).

    • They can be gifted, found, purchased, or simply “show up” for you.

    • You won’t need your red, black, or yellow stones until we enter the West direction—so there’s time.

There’s no need to rush this part. Trust the process. The right stones will appear.

  • You’ll need all 3 items for your South direction.

    • Pendulums can be handmade or store-bought—choose what feels alive in your hand.

    • Journals are for dreams, reflections, and tracking your transformation.

    • As for rattles: I personally gravitate toward Amazonian-style rattles, often made from gourds, seeds, or wood. They hold a beautiful sound and frequency.

    Recommended source for rattles:

  • Extraction Crystal (Needed by West direction)

This is an essential tool used for energetic extractions.

    It must be:

    • Double-terminated

    • Optically clear (no cracks or inclusions)

    • Roughly 2 inches in diameter and 5+ inches long

Faceting isn’t critical (6, 8, or 13 sides are most common). These can take weeks to source, so please order early.

    Suggested crystal sources:

Feel free to send me a photo or link of the crystal you're considering—I’m happy to help you choose.
